Weighted sensory cocoon for your face and head: woman resting in the Relaxation Cocoon, PillowOnPillow and weighted Sensory Mask in Powder Pink

Sound familiar?

All day long, your senses are bombarded from every side.

Screens, conversations, messages, noise.

You do so much for others, and there’s not a moment left for you.

You leave work, but your to-do list never ends.

In the mirror you see a tired, tense face.

And you’d love to look rested, and feel that way too.

In the evening your body is exhausted, but your mind keeps going.

And when you finally drift off, you curl up into a tense little ball and wake up tired.

Silk Weighted Cocoon by PillowOnPillow™

Like a weighted blanket, but for your face and head.
And without feeling restricted:

PillowOnPillow™ is a silk pillow topper with dynamic bolsters that move with the movements of your head. Together with the weighted Sensory Mask, it creates the Relaxation Cocoon, which wraps softly around your whole head.

Rest for a beautiful face

The gentle weight lets your facial muscles let go.

A relaxed face looks fresher and more rested.

Evening wind-down

A few minutes in the Cocoon give you a pause between day and night.
Your head is cradled, and you can let your breathing slow down and your thoughts settle.
Winding down in the evening can make it easier to fall asleep and sleep more deeply.

Anti-Gravity Beauty Sleep™

PillowOnPillow™ can stay with you through the night and help you sleep in an anti-aging position.
The bolsters move with your head, and your body rests in an open position with relaxed shoulders.
Whenever you feel like turning over, PillowOnPillow™ slides aside in one easy move and you carry on sleeping the way you like.

Why does it work?

The weighted Sensory Mask and the Relaxation Cocoon are inspired by Deep Touch Pressure (DTP), a form of tactile stimulation used in therapy, based on gentle, evenly distributed pressure.

Research suggests that this kind of pressure may help your nervous system shift into rest mode, ease tension and help you unwind.

What our customers say

Agnieszka, 61

“I bought my pillow at the start of 2025 and I use it all the time: before bed, to relax, in hotels, on holiday. I find it great for side sleeping too, but I always wake up on my back, as if my body is looking for the best position. I’ve had the Sensory Mask for a few months now and together they’re an absolutely wonderful set. It’s a unique experience I never get tired of. Every single nap I take is with the pillow and the Sensory Mask. It’s called the Relaxation Cocoon, and that’s exactly what it is. Complete relaxation and pure bliss. Nothing compares. I love it with all my heart.”

Katarzyna, 43

“Both the pillow and the Sensory Mask have been a game changer for me. With the pillow, I can see a big difference in my face. But thanks to the Sensory Mask, I now have no trouble falling asleep at all. Normally a new flat, with new sounds and everything new around me, would keep me awake for two weeks. Now I put the mask on and I’m asleep within minutes. A real game changer.”

Iza, 38

“I bought the pillow to get ready for eyelid surgery. It arrived a week before the operation, and I was so glad I had a few days to get used to sleeping on my back. After the surgery my doctor told me not to sleep on my side, because it could damage the stitches. I think this pillow should come on prescription, or be handed out to everyone after surgery!”

Aga, 49

“This pillow is pure gold. I’ve slept on my side all my life, so it wasn’t easy at first, and I still don’t always sleep on my back, but I very quickly noticed other benefits. The pillow makes me feel so looked after and cocooned. I love it, and I love that moment when I lie down on it. Thank you!”

Kasia, 46

“After a night on my side, I used to wake up with my lips pushed into a pout. Side sleeping shifts the skin, and on me it was really noticeable. I even tried adapting my own pillows for back sleeping, but only PillowOnPillow did what I needed. Thanks to it I sleep on my back, and it has made a real difference to my face. No more morning pout, and my skin looks smoother.”

Magda, 51

“I sleep on this pillow and I honestly feel like I wake up 10 years younger. When I wake up there are hardly any creases or lines on my face. My dad, who’s 82, loves it too. He uses it for reading and can’t praise it enough. And my 11-year-old daughter borrows it every other night. Looks like this pillow has won over three generations!”

“I’ve used my PillowOnPillow every night since July 2024. At first I couldn’t sleep on my back for more than a couple of hours, but now I sleep almost the whole night without waking up.

The lines on my chest have gone and my shoulders have stopped rounding forward. My face isn’t puffy or crumpled, and I wake up without swelling or creases. I can see a big improvement in my nasolabial folds, and I’m no longer squashing my jaw, cheek or eyelids.

I’ve had the weighted Sensory Mask since early August 2026. I use it to relax during the day and to wind down before bed every evening. Together with the pillow it makes the perfect relaxation cocoon, and it helps me fall asleep really quickly. I don’t know how I lived without this pillow! I take it everywhere and it’s so easy to travel with. I recommend it to every woman, not only for her looks but for her health too.”

Hi, I’m Ania.

I created PillowOnPillow™ out of a fascination with slow aging, and because I wanted sleep to become part of my everyday skincare.

I’ve always been very sensitive to light, sound and too much going on around me. Over time, that turned into mental overload and the brain fog so many women know.

I’ve practised yoga and breathwork for almost 20 years, but I discovered that sometimes the body needs a completely different kind of rest.

I created the Relaxation Cocoon because I needed a simpler way to get deep rest. Like many women, I have very little time for myself. A few minutes in the Cocoon help me recharge quickly during the day and let the tension in my face go. In the evening it helps me fall asleep more easily, and at night it supports an anti-aging sleep position.

Frequently asked questions

No. You place PillowOnPillow™ on top of your favourite pillow. It works with any kind of pillow, regular or orthopaedic, with any filling, so you don’t have to give up what you sleep on. You can use any pillow you like for relaxing in the Cocoon, too. The softer the pillow, the more closely the bolsters hug your head.

No, although the idea of a gentle weight is similar. A classic eye pillow usually has one filled chamber and covers mainly the eyes, sometimes the forehead. The weighted Sensory Mask has three separately shaped chambers: one for the eyes and temples, one for the forehead and one for the top of the head.

It’s also specially designed to work with the shape of PillowOnPillow™ and create a Cocoon around your whole head.

On its own, the Sensory Mask gives a gentle weight on your face, temples and forehead, which can feel lovely even without the pillow. But the feeling of your whole head being wrapped in the Cocoon only comes together with PillowOnPillow™. The side bolsters cradle your head on both sides, and the Mask closes the Cocoon from above. No face mask can give you that feeling on its own, however big it is. The shape of PillowOnPillow™ is an original, registered design, so this experience is only found in the Relaxation Cocoon.

The Cocoon is mainly for resting during the day and winding down before bed. It doesn’t require you to sleep on your back.

The order is always the same: your favourite pillow, PillowOnPillow™ on top of it, and finally the weighted Sensory Mask. The bolsters cradle your head on both sides, and the Mask closes the Cocoon from above.

The shape and size of the Mask are matched to PillowOnPillow™, so the Mask rests on your face and head rather than on the bolsters. That way the weight lands exactly where it should, and your whole head is wrapped up.

If you’ve ever had a facial massage, you probably remember how your muscles slowly let go under the touch of fingers, and how fresh your face looked afterwards. Sometimes you might even feel you look a few years younger.

The weight of the Sensory Mask is gentler and doesn’t move, but the idea is similar: under calm, even pressure, it’s easier for muscles to release tension. Many people find this kind of gentle, broad pressure calming. And when your face lets go of tension, you can usually see it in the mirror too.

The Mask insert holds about 400 g of golden flaxseed, spread across three chambers so the weight sits evenly. Each chamber has room to move the seeds around. If you’d like more weight on your temples and less around your eyes, just move them with your fingers.

You don’t have to do anything. You can simply lie down and let your muscles relax and your thoughts calm down.

If you enjoy meditation, yoga or breathwork, the Cocoon can be a supportive space for them. Feeling wrapped up and shielded from what’s going on around you can make it easier to settle into your practice.

The Cocoon is inspired by research on Deep Touch Pressure: gentle, evenly spread pressure on the body. Research suggests that this kind of pressure may help your nervous system shift into rest mode, so tension eases and it’s easier to unwind. You know a similar feeling from a firm, calm hug.

The Sensory Mask gives you this pressure on your face and covers your eyes, while the bolsters cradle your head on both sides, so less stimulation reaches you. The Cocoon is not a medical device and doesn’t treat anything, but it can be a daily moment when your face and body truly rest.

Anyone can feel overstimulated: after a day full of screens, conversations, noise and decisions, while travelling, or during a demanding time in life. Autistic people, people with ADHD and highly sensitive people often feel it sooner and more strongly. Many women feel it especially strongly during perimenopause and menopause.

The Relaxation Cocoon isn’t a medical device and doesn’t replace professional help, but it can support deep rest every day.

When you sleep on your side, gravity pulls the tissues of your face down and towards the centre for hours every night. Over time, this can contribute to deeper nasolabial folds, facial asymmetry and vertical lines on the chest.

When you sleep on your back, gravity lets the tissues move towards the back of your head instead.

The side bolsters of PillowOnPillow™ are dynamic. They move with the natural movements of your head and gently encourage it back to the anti-gravity position. They’re filled with high-quality, high-resilience foam that combines softness with a gentle bounce, so the bolsters respond to movement instead of flattening in one position.

The heart of the method is getting used to this position slowly, without forcing your body.

It is, because on your back gravity doesn’t pull the tissues of your face down and towards the centre. But hardly anyone manages it straight away, especially after years of sleeping in a different position, and you don’t have to force anything. I slept on my side for 45 years and never believed sleeping on my back could feel comfortable.

For some people it takes a few days to get used to it, for others a few weeks or even months. For me it took almost a year and happened gradually, without forcing anything, almost as a side effect of teaching my body to rest and let go while wrapped in the Cocoon. It was worth it, because sleeping in an anti-aging position pays off for the rest of your life.

It helps to understand first why we like sleeping on our side so much. A curled-up body feels safe, and your tummy is cosy and tucked in. On your back you miss that at first, so it’s worth giving your body that cosy feeling in another way:

Put a pillow or a bolster under your knees to take the strain off your lower back.Surround yourself with pillows on all sides. You can also rest a small pillow or a folded blanket on your tummy.Start with fifteen minutes or half an hour, ideally in the Cocoon before you fall asleep. Then you can simply turn onto your side.

Every night you spend at least part of your sleep on your back counts.

Our Cocoons are handmade in Poland in small batches. Preparing an order usually takes about 10 working days. We prepare orders on a first-come, first-served basis, and at busier times we kindly ask for a little patience.

We don’t keep large stocks, but sometimes a few are ready to go, and then your parcel can be on its way sooner.

Once your Cocoon is ready to ship, delivery within Poland usually takes 1-2 working days, and to other EU countries usually up to a week.

We ship to every country in the European Union. Shipping is free within Poland, and a flat 50 PLN (about €12) to the rest of the EU.

You have 14 days to return your order, and you’ll find the form at the bottom of the page. We’re proud to say we haven’t had a single return so far.

Every Cocoon is sewn by hand, and we want each one to go to someone who will really use it. So if you have any doubts at all, write to us before you buy at kontakt@pillowonpillow.com or on WhatsApp: +48 507 456 967. We’re happy to help you choose and give advice.

PillowOnPillow™ and the Sensory Mask each have their own fitted cover. You can wash the covers by hand or in the machine on a silk cycle. Wash them separately, not with other colours. It’s best to dry them flat, away from sunlight and radiators. You can gently iron the mask cover inside out on the silk setting. The pillow cover is easiest to iron while it’s on the pillow, because of its 3D shape.

The pillow itself and the Mask insert shouldn’t be washed. Keep the insert away from moisture and store it somewhere dry and airy.
